Life at Lees Brook

Created by David 2 years ago

Lynn was already at Lees Brook when I joined in 1995, and it soon became obvious that whereas lots of us tried to be as good a teacher as we could, Lynn just was.  She radiated calm, and always looked to help anyone struggling a bit. When I joined the Senior team, Lynn gave me a massive amount of time and help to carry out my new jobs.  Watching Lynn dispense discipline was a masterclass.  Any student who thought they could get the better of her was in for a hard lesson. Generally her approach was understanding and encouragement - sometimes the "Brian Clough method" where they would discuss the problem and decide Lynn was right in the first place - and with a particularly awkward customer it was "just do it".  She was the same positive, cheerful and caring person every day, even through hard times.  It was an absolute pleasure to have known and worked with Lynn, and although it has been very hard to write this I can still smile at the memories.  My heart goes out to Graham and her family, because, as we know, she was irreplaceable.
